Si Chen has been a practitioner of acupuncture for over 10 years. With this experience, Si believes in treating the whole person, not just the ‘symptoms’ or the ‘disease’. Everything is connected and Si carefully differentiates the variations of symptoms and the constitution of each individual to then find the underlying pattern of disharmony. Si’s focus is always to get to the root of the problem and to work with the body, not against it, to revive and enhance the body’s healing potential, rather than simply suppressing symptoms.

After graduating from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 2005, Si practiced as a holistic acupuncturist at First Affiliated Hospital in China. Working in the acupuncture, medicinal massage and rehabilitation clinic of the hospital, her performing duties included Chinese medicine rehabilitation, physiotherapy, acupuncture and children’s medicinal massage. Si was the department leader until leaving China in 2014.

Si has been registered as an Acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner with Chinese Medicine Board of Australia since arriving in Australia in 2015.

Si specialises in applying acupuncture for treatment of a variety of conditions including different pains (such as neck, shoulder, lower back and legs, headaches, dysmenorrhea), infertility, menstrual diseases, insomnia, neurasthenic, and low energy.

Si also specialises in using “Jin’s Three-Needle Therapy”, which is characterised by fewer needles, less pain, accurate selection of points, and getting to the point. Si commonly applies “Ear-Point Therapy” for the treatment of different conditions, such as stopping smoking and insomnia.
