Considering pregnancy massage? Throughout pregnancy a body goes through many changes. Centre of gravity, hormone levels, spinal curves, body weight, cardiac output, respiration, metabolism, fluid retention and even sensory changes can occur. With so many changes occurring it can be enjoyable and beneficial to have a massage to during your pregnancy. At quay health we offer pregnancy massage as one of our many massage types.

Pregnancy massage appointment types:

We offer pregnancy massage throughout the entirety of a women’s pregnancy. Our appointments are are divided by desired time length:
  • 30 minutes
  • 45 minutes
  • 60 minutes
  • 90 minutes
Out most popular pregnancy massage is the 60 minute appointment. We recommend starting there and altering your appointment length accordingly. Private health fund rebates are available at the time of payment via HICAPS for those with ‘extras’ cover for remedial massage.  

What to expect in your appointment:

When booking your appointment it is preferable to call reception on (02) 9252 2825. This way you can talk to one of our friendly staff and specifically request a pregnancy massage. The receptionist will recommend one of our massage therapists with a specific training in pregnancy massage. On the day of your appointment you will be taken to our massage room and will have a pre-treatment discussion with your massage therapist. They will ask you how far along you are, your experience with massage, preferred massage style/strength and any areas of pain or desired focus. Your practitioner will then leave you to get changed with instructions on how to comfortably set up on our pregnancy friendly massage table or pregnancy pillow.
