Meet Richard

Podiatrist
Richard is a Podiatrist who is committed to helping patients live the life they deserve and to reach their health goals. He completed his Bachelors of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Medicine at Western Sydney University in 2015. Richard has years of clinical experience varying in private practice, aged care, and public hospitals. Richard has a passion for getting to know his patients to create individualised management plans, to build confidence and resilience in everyday movement. He enjoys providing all aspects of skin and nail general treatment and has a strong interest in injury prevention/rehabilitation of the lower limb using a variety of management strategies. When he’s not in the Clinic, you can find him powerlifting at the gym, playing tennis or cooking with his air flyer. Richard brings his expertise and skills to Quay Health to be of service to you and your family. Richard Ching is registered nationally through AHPRA and is available at the clinic Monday through Friday.

To make an appointment with Richard at our Bridge Street clinic (between George Street and Pitt Street) call clinic reception on (02) 9252 2825. We’ll typically answer the phone between (7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If we don’t catch your call, please do leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Alternately, you can book online at anytime (select ‘Podiatry’ as the service, then select Richard Ching).

What to expect at your first appointment

Your first Podiatry appointment will be about 45 minutes long. Richard will take a medical history, focusing on your medical history regarding your injury and/or pain. He will have you undertake movement based tests to diagnose if any underlaying contributing factors are the cause of your pain / concern. Rochard may require you to have further testing completed. These tests may include: full lower limb examination, muscle testing, postural assessments, orthopaedic testing or neurological testing. You may be referred for x-rays, however is is not always required to provide a diagnosis or commence treatment. Return and ongoing visits are usually 15-30 minutes long and offer treatment & periodic comparative assessments to work towards your goals.

Appointment times and fees

Richard is typically available for appointments at our Bridge St clinic between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays. Bookings are essential. Your first appointment with Richard is $120 (allow 30 mins) Follow-up appointments with Ricahrd $95 (allow 15-30 mins) Payment methods available include cash, VISA, MasterCard and AMEX. Our Podiatrist’s are Bupa Members First Providers. Private health fund rebates are available at the time of payment via HICAPS for those with cover for Podiatry.
